The Hole Project

Traveling from Los Angeles to Texas, we superimposed a cardboard hole onto various landscapes along the journey. The hole is a visual pun: it is a tangible object and yet represents a void, a lack of space. By superimposing our hole onto the landscape we were able to make ephemeral land art without leaving a trace.
